Philippine Society of Medical Technology Students

The Philippine Society of Medical Technology Students-CEU Chapter (PHISMETS-CEU) was organized to coordinate all activities pertinent to medical technology student development; to promote and stimulate the exchange of best practices in medical technology through participation in international, national, regional or provincial and local conferences, seminar-workshops, colloquia, and meetings; to support student research in the area of medical technology and related fields; and to provide an information network and monitoring system of activities in the medical technology academic community, within the institution.


Internship 6 months = 27 weeks = 1,080 hours (18 units)

       The USA - CEU Med Tech Alumni held their 11th Reunion in Glendale, California last July 19-21. The 3-day affair started with a “Meet and Greet” dinner on July 19, highlighted by a Dinner Dance held the next day at the Glendale Hilton Hotel, and capped by a Sunday picnic lunch at the park.

    The Organizing Committee was led by Salome Bernardo Pangilinan, class 1967. Alumni from 10 different States shared in reminiscing about their memories at CEU.Class years from 1966 through 2000 we’re represented. Dr. Aileen Patron, Assistant Dean of the School of Medical Technology, spoke and updated the attendees about distinctive features of the School of Medical Technology and the university in general.

    The Reunion was a success, much to the delight of the rest of the Organizing Committee, namely, Ed Poblete ‘69, Bea Importante’ 67, and Mila Pedro Hermogeno ‘67. 

    The 12th Reunion is being planned for October, 2020 in San Diego, California.
