PHARMACY COURSE REQUIREMENTS
LADDERIZED PHARMACY PROGRAM
FOUR-YEAR PROGRAM LEADING TO THE DEGREE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN PHARMACY
Manila, Malolos, Makati
This is a four year outcome based program with a total of 215 units. The program offers a good mix of general education courses, which is of relevant application in the pharmacy profession and professional courses that will help prepare the graduates in acquiring competencies necessary in the workplace. It also includes pharmacy practice experience/ internships in the last year of the program were students will be assigned to different CHED- accredited affiliation establishments covering a period of 1200 hours distributed as follows: 300hours in community pharmacy, 300 hours in hospital pharmacy, 300 hours in pharmaceutical industry, 120 hours in institutional pharmacy, and 180 hours in public health and regulatory pharmacy.
FIVE-YEAR PROGRAM LEADING TO THE DEGREE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CLINICAL PHARMACY
Manila, Malolos, Makati
This is a five-year pharmacy program with a total of 263 units. The program requires the completion of the BS Pharmacy program and an additional of one year is required to earn the degree Bachelor of Science in Clinical Pharmacy. The fifth year level offers courses that are fully focused on the acquisition of competencies required as clinical pharmacist which is a more patient- centered practice in the delivery of pharmaceutical care.
SIX-YEAR DOCTOR OF PHARMACY (Pharm.D.)
Makati
This a six-year program leading to the degree Doctor of Pharmacy with a total of 311 units. The program requires the completion of the 5- year BS in Clinical Pharmacy program. Additional of one year is required to include a 1500 hours of advance pharmacy practice experience in community and hospital setting on rotation sites.
2-YEAR POST BACCALAUREATE DOCTOR OF PHARMACY (Pharm.D.)
Makati
A 2-year post baccalaureate course leading to Doctor of Pharmacy which requires completion of 96 units of formal course work inclusive of 36 units of pharmacy practice experience in clinical setting on rotation sites effective SY 2013-2014.
