Centro Escolar University Communication and Media program formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Department of Science and Technology-Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) to highlight the importance of effectively communicating the benefits of science to students.
Prof. Jose Cris Sotto, CEU Communication and Media Program Head, expressed optimism about the collaboration. “The ongoing partnership between CEU and DOST-STII is something that we see as very helpful in terms of expanding the knowledge of the community on Science and Health. The partnership is very good for both parties because we get to maximize each other’s strengths and I’m very hopeful that this collaboration is something that will spark new developments on how science and technology are being communicated to the people.”
The DOST-STII was led by DOST Assistant Secretary for Technology Transfer, Communications, and Commercialization, Dr. Napoleon K. Juanillo Jr.
Through this partnership, the students will have the opportunity to create their content focusing on science-related topics to encourage greater appreciation of science and technology. This will also provide learning sessions, expert engagements, resource sharing, and internships.
