Established in 1921, the School of Pharmacy is a leading institution in the field. CEU Pharmacists excel with their unique training and extensive experience in the essentials of Pharmacy, constantly proving themselves to be among the best in their profession.

 

Students are consistently trained to be globally competitive, professionally competent, legally qualified, morally upright and patient and population-oriented pharmacy practitioners. The Pharmacy program is enhanced with the latest in laboratory equipment and library resources.

 

Pharmacy students build strong careers as supervisors, owners or managers of drugstores, company pharmacists, quality control pharmacists, laboratory instructors, lecturers, food and drug regulation officers, hospital pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, directors of hospital pharmacies and product managers of pharmaceutical firms.

BS PHARMACY PROGRAM OUTCOMES

The Pharmacy Curriculum aims to provide globally competitive pharmacist, who are scientifically competent, technically skilled, caring, and responsible professionals, able to deliver the full spectrum of pharmacy services required in the different setting of pharmacy practice. The school is committed to the development of pharmacy graduates who can: 

  1. Demonstrate a working knowledge of concepts and principles focusing on patient-centered pharmacy practice;
  2. Practice operative interpersonal, intra-professional communication and collaborative  skills in providing pharmaceutical care and patient counseling;
  3. Perform efficiently and effectively responsibilities and task in any area of pharmacy practice;
  4. Design pharmaceutical care services program integrating innovative business/ entrepreneurial strategies;
  5. Conduct scientific research   leading to the development of drugs for prevention, diagnosis, mitigation, treatment of diseases or medical conditions and contribute to the acquisition of new knowledge in the practice of pharmacy; 
  6. Practice the profession consistent with the ethical, legal, social, economic standards of the pharmacy profession;
  7. Engage in a self-directed lifelong learning.

Laboratories and Facilities

LAH 214 Multipurpose Hall

The hall caters small conferences, seminars, meetings and workshop.  This hall is fully equipped with state-of-art technology which includes LED TV, sound system, LCD projector,  speakers' podium, emergency lights and a twin air-conditioning system.

 

Pharmacare Laboratory
The lab is the perfect simulation of a real  drug retail outlet where students are able to put theory into practice, giving them a deeper appreciation of their studies.

 

Pharmacobotanical Garden

The garden maintains the collection of plants under scientific management for the purpose of education and research.   

 

Pharmacy Manufacturing Facility

This is a fully air-conditioned facility, with state-of-the art equipment and simulates Current Good Manufacturing Practices.
