CEU Formalizes Partnership with Knowledge Channel
Centro Escolar University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Knowledge Channel to formalize their partnership on accepting CEU’s senior communication and media students as on-the-job trainees via Zoom.
Mr. Ricky Rosales, Head of the CEU Communication and Media Program emphasized that this partnership is not new since Knowledge Channel has already been accommodating Escolarian interns.
Ms. Rina Lopez, President of Knowledge Channel supported this by mentioning that in the past three years, they had 7 interns from CEU who served in their Marketing Communications Department and Transmedia TV Production Department.
“We are very happy to formalize the partnership with Centro Escolar University under the Knowledge Channel Volunteer Internship Program (KCVIP). Through these seven interns, we have seen that CEU has produced exceptional and reliable students, who are more than ready to excel in the workforce”, shared Ms. Rina.
She also assured that Knowledge Channel will be there not just to hone their skills but to also touch their lives by providing a transformative learning experience.
Dr. Maria Rita Lucas, Dean of the School of Education, Liberal Arts, Music and Social Work also expressed her excitement to strengthen this collaboration by introducing CEU’s education program specifically early childhood education.
CEU President and Chief Academic Officer Dr. Ma. Cristina Padolina was also virtually present to witness the event.
“I think it is a very good decision to partner with ABS-CBN at this time. I am a believer that difficulties bring out the best in people and it’s been bringing the best in ABS-CBN. You have learned to manage and grow even with the challenges that were thrown at you. And it’s very important that our students also learn that because they themselves will be addressing challenges in their lives”, Dr. Padolina said.
The President also mentioned the possibility of a project involvement of Centro Escolar Integrated School which offers basic education with Knowledge Channel in the future.
For 22 years, Knowledge Channel has continued to bring educational and informative programs to Filipino children with the goal of making a positive impact on their lives.
