CEU Holds Integrated Nursing Webinar
Centro Escolar University-School of Nursing collaborated with Budi Luhur Institute of Health and Sciences in Cimahi Indonesia for an Integrated Nursing Webinar which was held on June 17, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. in the Philippines and 10:00 a.m. in Indonesia via Zoom, Facebook Live and Youtube.
With the theme “Nursing the World to Health: Breaking the Chain of COVID-19 Infection”, timely and relevant topics were discussed by notable resource speakers. Dr. Regina Berba, Head, Hospital Infection Control Unit at Philippine General Hospital talked about Triage Protocols in a COVID-19 Emergency Environment while Ms. Monina Hernandez, Clinical Nurse Specialist in Infection Prevention and Control at Counties Manukau Health in Auckland New Zealand focused her discussion on Standard Precautions for Health Care Providers in a COVID-19 Area/Ward/Institutions. Lastly, Nursing Responsibilities in Caring for COVID-19 Patients was discussed by Ms. DedehKomalawati, Inpatient Coordinator at Persahabatan Governement Hospital in Indonesia.
Two staff nurses from the Philippine General Hospital, Mr. Mark Galimpin and Mr. Christian Bangloy who were joined by Ms. Jennifer Rhae Lim, staff nurse at the Lung Center of the Philippines also shared their expertise and knowledge on the topics mentioned. Ms. Lim is an alumna of the CEU Graduate School while Mr. Galimpin is currently taking Master of Science in Nursing major in Medical and Surgical Nursing.
