CEU School of Dentistry Conducts Limited Face-to-Face Classes

Centro Escolar University School of Dentistry started to conduct limited face-to-face classes for its students with clinical and laboratory requirements as approved by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Health (DOH).

 

The skills laboratories and clinics of the School were prepared and fully equipped to accommodate the students’ needed practice on dental procedures. With the phantom heads, model jaws and dental cast made available for the students, they are able to perform oral prophylaxis (dental cleaning), filling, fabrication of dentures and crowns, root canal treatment and tooth extraction.

 

Health and safety protocols are strictly implemented inside the campus to ensure the protection of the students, faculty, and staff.

 

For the First Semester of SY 2021-2022, the incoming Dent 3 students with Dental Materials Laboratory and Dent 4 students with Operative Dentistry 1 Laboratory, Prosthodontics 1 Laboratory, Roentgenology Laboratory, and Anesthesiology Laboratory, who are both under the new curriculum will be participating in the limited face-to-face classes. Joining them are the 3rd year proper students with laboratory subjects on Orthodontics 2 and Endodontics, as well as 4th year students taking Clinical Dentistry 1,2,3, and 4.

 

The CEU School of Dentistry also announced that foreign students who wish to join the face-to-face classes may send an email to its Dean, Dr. Pearly Lim so their names could be submitted to the Department of Foreign Affairs for the processing of their tourist visa.
