CEU Scorpions Rise as Champion in Manila Best Tournament

Showcasing grit, teamwork, and resilience, Centro Escolar University Basketball Team clinched the championship title in a thrilling finale of the Manila Best Tournament.

The Scorpions triumphed over the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) Phoenix with a nail-biting score of 53-51.

The Scorpions’ defense and strategic plays were key to their success, with Kim Sabsalon standing out as the team’s star. Sabsalon’s remarkable performance earned him the Most Valuable Player (MVP) title, a well-deserved recognition of his contributions throughout the tournament. His stellar efforts also landed him a spot in the Mythical Five, alongside fellow Scorpions’ standout Renel Jopillo.

CEU’s victory was further highlighted by the leadership of Coach Britt Reroma, whose guidance and tactical expertise were instrumental in the team’s success. Coach Reroma was honored with the Best Coach Award.
