CEU Students Accepted in 2020 UMAP-COIL Joint Program
Three students of Centro Escolar University qualified in this year’s Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) Program of the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP) and the Institute for Global Education of Kansai University.
Alondra Marie Sto. Domingo, a Political Science major, Joshua Flores, a Social Work student, and PJ Sheed who is presently taking up Bachelor of Science in Accountancy were chosen among the 180 applicants from member universities based on their academic performance, Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) scores and a written essay.
The COIL Program which will be conducted 100% online from July 27 to September 15, 2020, will provide ample of opportunities for the students to gain enriched learning and international experience from it.
UMAP is a voluntary association of government and non-government representatives of the higher education (university) sector. Its aim is for each of the countries and territories in the Asia- Pacific region to achieve a better understanding of the cultural, economic and social systems of the other countries and territories in the region through enhanced cooperation among higher education institutions and increased mobility of university students and staff.
