Escolarian Athletes Win Awards in 47th WNCAA and 13th MNCAA
Proved to be home of the achievers, student-athletes of Centro Escolar University bagged numerous awards in the recently concluded 47th Women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (WNCAA) and 13th Men’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (MNCAA) sports tournaments.
In the WNCAA Athletics category, CEU teams were all hailed Champion in Badminton, Swimming and Taekwondo.
The Badminton Team was composed of Jaira May Bustarde, Ann Margarette Magallanes, Charmaine Tambauan, and Michelle Torrelino.
Shannen Junella Adan, Anne Denisse Deldio, Erin Gallego, Mariestrella Ong, Noe Francette Umucob, Christine Andrea Buo, were the swimmers for the CEU team.
Jezajah Leigh Bagabac, Maria Desiree Dizor, Astryd Donato, Allyza Garcia, Mary Jan Dennise Go, Michelle Labrague, Khate Rafol, Krisdee Mereille Saluquen, Dayanara Tan, and Althea Gracesher Velasco formed the Taekwondo Team.
For the individual recognitions, Ann Margarette Magallanes was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) for Badminton, Mariestrella Angela Ong, MVP for Swimming, and Jezajah Leigh Bagabac, MVP for Taekwondo.
CEU Badminton Team for the Men’s National Collegiate Athletic Association (MNCAA) which includes Al Craven Chan, Calvin Joseff Café, Adrianne Nikki Nicolas, Vladimir Delos Santos, and Raymond Santiago also nabbed the Championship Award with Delos Santos as MVP.
