CEU Alumnus is NCCA’s Ani ng Dangal Awardee for Music
Centro Escolar University’s alumnus and faculty member, Ian Gabriel Corpuz received the Ani ng Dangal Award for Music during the 11th Ani ng Dangal awarding ceremony held at the Diamond Hotel on February 27, 2019 by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in celebration of the National Arts Month.
After winning the first prize for the Busan Choral Composition in South Korea in January 2018, Ian was one of the 16 artists recognized in the field of music and was one of the 55 artists who were likewise recognized in the fields of architecture, cinema, dance and allied, broadcast, dramatic, literary, and visual arts.
The awarding ceremony aims to recognize Filipinos who have brought pride and honor to the country in the field of arts through their participation international festivals within the last five years.
Ian Gabriel obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Music major in Conducting in the CEU Conservatory of Music, under the School of Education, Liberal Arts, Music, and Social Work (SELAMS).
