CEU President is 2017 Juran Medal Awardee
For her pursuit of quality and excellence, Centro Escolar University (CEU) President, Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina received the prestigious Juran Medal Award during the 2017 International Quality Conference of the Philippine Society for Quality, Inc. (PSQ) held last October 23, 2017 at the Grand Ballroom 1, Okada Manila.
“As I thank the Philippine Quality for Society for this award which we consider as recognition of the collective effort of the Centro Escolar University community to promote and practice quality in our organization, I would like to highlight the impetus that drives our community towards quality, the source of our stimulus arises from our maxim, set forth by our founders, a century and a decade ago, Cientia y Virtud, Science and Virtue. Science empowers us, Virtue guides us in our quest for quality”, Dr. Padolina said in her acceptance speech.
The Juran Medal was named after Dr. Joseph M. Juran, known as the “Father of Quality” because of his global contributions to quality. Thus, this award is given to qualified leaders who exhibit exemplar performance through quality methods and practices to sustain an organization.
Dr. Padolina’s 11 years of leadership in CEU proved her worthy to be a recipient of the award with her passion and commitment to quality and excellence towards the attainment of the University’s vision and mission.
