In its continues effort to strengthen international ties, Centro Escolar University is now the first Philippine university to have its partnership with the Paradise Suites and the Paradise Hotel and Cruises in Halong Bay, Vietnam.

The partnership is under the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). CEU sent nine Tourism Management students as on-the-job trainees last January in Halong Bay. They are Aira Vern Nicolle Arollado, Khysmet Ailene Joie Gabriel, Sheela Karmella Jimenez, Jed Patrick Opeda, Kimberlyn Joy Padilla, Rose Cielo Portus, Stanly Dale Quisora, John Harris Villamayor, and Luis Domingo Villanueva.

Although their training as interns will last until July 2017, the nine students will be allowed to attend their graduation rites in April 21, 2017.

The collaboration between CEU and the Paradise Suites and the Paradise Hotels and Cruises was facilitated by the joint efforts of Mr. Edgar Cayanan, the Paradise Suites and the Paradise Hotels and Cruises Manager, Ms. Janelle Villamor, CEU Tourism Management Program Head, SNHM Dean, Dr. Cecilia Uncad, and upon the approval of University President and Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina.
