CEU School of Dentistry is Sportsfest 2018 Champ

Centro Escolar University School of Dentistry was declared this year’s Sportsfest champion in its recent closing ceremony held at the Librada Avelino Auditorium.

Garnering a total of 93 points, the School of Dentistry outdid the other nine competing teams from the different Schools and CEU Makati campus. The School of Nutrition and Hospitality ranked second, CEU Makati got the 3rd spot with 73 points, followed by the School of Pharmacy with 71 points. On the 5th place is the School of Science and Technology with 50 points. Last year’s champion, the School of Accountancy and Management landed on the 7th place with 49.5 points. The School of Education, Liberal Arts, Music and Social Work (SELAMS) got 38.5 points at 9th place and School of Nursing at 10th place with 31.5 points.

Winners for individual sports events were also recognized. For swimming, women’s volleyball and dance competition, the School of Dentistry got the first place and the School of Nutrition and Hospitality Management was able to bring home the gold for Men’s Volleyball and Basketball. CEU Makati nailed the Laro ng Lahi competition while the School of Accountancy and Management pinned the first place for Women’s Basketball.

This year’s Sportsfest was spearheaded by CEU Makati with Dr. Maria Corazon Andoy, Head of the CEU Makati Student Affairs Office as overall chairman of CEU Makati, and Dr. Olivia Limuaco, Vice President for CEU Makati and Dr. Carlito Olaer, Vice President for Student Affairs Office as event consultants. The School of Accountancy and Management will be hosting the next year’s Sportsfest.
